September 26, 2008 |
1, personal
Some of you asked me to place another link for another poll. The last was about Sarah Palin . This is the CNN poll on whether the Friday debate should go on. It’s not scientific but worth noting!
Here’s the link http://www.cnn.com/

Barak, winner no doubt!
Barack, winner no doubt! McCain desperately trying to distance himself from Bush but it was not to be. Facts are facts!
It seems that all McCain has is; hate, fear, and the ever popular “I was a POW.”
It was a tie, but McCain needed to win more than Obama.
McCain a hands down winner. I can’t believe the polls. Did anyone really listen to the debate before responding.
To bad you are baised, Try to be open. I think McCain won on his foriegn policy. Barak won the first 20 minutes, but no one remembers the beging.
Mccain is far from Bush if you have paid attention i the last 8 years….
Obama just votes liberal or present… what a senator!
Barack Obama is the winner. Barack showed confidence and a strong working knowledge of foreign affairs, a notion that has been debated by voters and the McCain camp. McCain clearly has more experience because he’s been around), but he is obviously of the “old guard.” We need to look to the future and Obama is clearly “the future.” We need to get America back in high standing with the rest of the world. Barack is the man to do that. McCain is too condescending and just too plain old. He is the one “that doesn’t understand.”
There seemed to be this tone of arrogance from McCain…maybe it was just experience?!
Wolf I agree….it seemed to be a tie. Obama needs to “bite back” McCain may lose some of his “likeabilty”after this debate
Barack was cool under pressure. The body language of McCain was very hostile and angry. If a person refuses to acknowledge your presence with either a glance or direct response to your commentary for 90 minutes, indicates an underlying contempt. McCain definitely displayed the “Old Grumpy Angry Man” syndrome last night. Fear and Control. He has plenty to fear because he’s out of control!
Obama was right on the money. We are retired military, my husband has been involved in two wars, from the beginning, we said we had no business going to war in Iraq, our mission was with OBL. Now we have increased Iran’s strength by ridding them of Sadam, who DOES have the ability to cause mass destruction! Mean while, OBL has is growing stronger, gaining more recruits and is now again, a real threat for another US attack! One more thing, do not forget to combine the death toll of BOTH Iraq and Afghanistan …you do that, and you will realize just how exhausted our military is. McCain just wants to WIN, WIN is the only thing he knows. OK, let’s say we win, loosing more troops, loosing more money, then we take on an attack from Russia…do you really think we can handle it, would you be willing to give up your freedom and watch Russia occupy our country? NO! Obama knows this, McCain’s experience is fading, he is not in touch. I respect him for what he went through, but he will not get my vote. I speak from 44+ years of military experience… my entire family represented every branch of military we have, our son currently serves in the Navy…our comments come from experience!
I would say a tie – with respect to content. But this was McCains topic – foreign policy – he was favored to win. Also I think he certainly lost the body language aspect.
Obama was the better person. He answered all questions while remaining calm and collected. he tried to engage with Mr. Rude MCcain, even though McCain was bent on being disrespectful to the whole debate process. McCain glared and refused to look at Obama the entire time. McCain also used profanity – twice. He should have known how to behave in a classier manner. He did not act like a person who should represent a nation. McCain lost the first round.
It was clear Obama is still lost and out of place. All he could do was agree with Mcain all evening. All Obama want to do is stereo type Mcain as Bushs twin, this is not leadership or change. Picking Biden as VP is not change, these two can not even agree on the issues before they talk. Obama should not talk about Mcains age because the age differienial was not noticable in the debate. Mcain was sharp and made Obama look out of place.
Russell…but according some pundits (i.e. Joe Scarborough) McCain came across angry, even bitter akin to a grumpy old man!
I agree McCain came across as arrogant and angry.
I dont think McCain sounded sharp at all, maybe looked like a sharp object it seemed to me he was hostile and this was where is was suppose to shine.
For those of us who have not decided yet who to vote for he did nothing to impress…
Did you see Mccain eyes when he didn’t agree with Obama. He look just crazy as the guy running Iran.
more and more McCain looks and sounds suprised that anyone would question him
Senator Obama cam across as poised, honest and genuine.
On the other hand Senator Mcain showed signs of desperation- came across as condescending and angry- not the kind of Commander in chief the country needs . The ‘old guard’ is out of touch.
Senator Obama is the real deal -yes change we can believe in!
No. 7 John, your spelling is a little strange. (You’re speling is a litle strang?) Ho, ho!
Obama, I sure hope not. If anybody will take the time to learn the truth about both people. McCain is the stongest leader for positive change, not just talk. More business will be folding if Obama has his way. Read on Obamas childhood, with his stepfather, being raised a muslim. Too scary for me. All of his other closet buddies waiting to come out of the wings also. AMERICA WILL BE IN FOR THE SHOCK OF ALL TIME WITH OBAMA AS A LEADER.
