Private Fitness Training Studio Opens Near Phoenixville.

“Health is the thing that makes you feel that now is the best time of the year.” – Franklin P. Adams

Congrats to Corey Dissin and his staff . These guys truly believe in “changing the body changes the mind.” Expect to see more. When you join expect to be more…..

Train With Corey, is excited to announce that it has expanded to now include TWO separate exercise rooms, a PRIVATE massage therapy suite, office, and kitchen area – nearly doubling in size since it first opened eight months ago.

The expanded facility is still in Longstreth Center at Route 724 and Wells Road, with the new entrance now just two doors down from their previous location.

We are very excited to occupy this new space”, shares Corey Dissin, owner and Head Fitness Motivator at Train With Corey. “It allows for additional exercise equipment along with plenty of extra room to offer larger group fitness classes.”

Although Train With Corey is growing, Dissin and his staff remain dedicated to personalized service and maintaining an atmosphere that’s comfortable and encouraging, “because we know that the ‘big box’ corporate owned mega-gyms can be intimidating for some folks.”

Train With Corey will be hosting an open house on Saturday, July 31st from 11:00am to 6:00pm for anyone that would like to see and tour their new facility.

Visitors and their guests will have the opportunity to be introduced to Train With Corey’s FIVE trainers, and get a FREE chair massage from Mary Milton, TWC’s on-site massage therapist.

Light refreshments will be served and attendees can enter to win door prizes.

Kindly RSVP to (610) 505-2262 or info@trainwithcorey.com

Manifesting,Intention,and Clothing called “DISSIPLINE”….

“Don’t back down
You gotta be a little nuts
Don’t back down
But show ‘em now who’s got guts
Don’t back down
Don’t back down from that wave”

Don’t Back Down”-The Beach Boys

The gentleman in the photo would probably use lyrics from a band named “Metallic Flaming Gophers from Hell” but it’s my blog so bite me…..

What Corey Dissin does well is motivate.

There are many people who set out to achieve a goal but many find an excuse why not to do something. Corey usually finds a way…. he does not back down. From having a full time day job to running his personal training center “Train with Corey” to being a little league coach- He does it with a smile on his face. He has launched a new clothing line called “DISSIPLINE” , fusing his last name with disipline was a great idea. I wish him luck but he doesn’t need it. He’s got  plenty of  “dissipline”…

So impress your friends. Piss off your mother in law and buy her one for Mother’s Day. Wear it to church. Here’s where to order - http://www.dissipline.com

“They’re Not Gone” Exciting New Book on the Afterlife.

“It’s like I’m sailing on the oceanZauriel
Every time I see your eyes
You could be the wind that keeps me floating
I could be in heaven for all I know
Heaven’s a place for me to go
No one ever could have told me how
No one ever could have told me how
Heaven could be here on earth”

Praise is something we all want and at the same time feel uncomfortable receiving. I recently was given praise in its highest form.

A book.

About the work I do.

I’m honored….

Author Sharing Hope for the Holidays with New Book titled They’re Not Gone.

Phoenixville, PA – November 10, 2009 – Author,  A.P. Morris, is releasing a non-fiction book, They’re Not Gone, to coincide with the holiday season.

cover_blogThey’re Not Gone shares stories of 13 people whose loved ones passed away and their eventual ‘reconnection’ through the assistance of local Psychic Medium, Ricky Wood. Each story contains ‘evidence’ that their spirits are still very much alive.  Wood delivers specifics from names and dates to mannerisms and jokes to verify the spirit who is communicating.

“I wanted to share my story to give others hope, especially during the holiday season when missing them can be even more difficult.  I am now 100% positive that our loved ones don’t vanish with death, they are still very much alive,” Morris said.

A.P. Morris’s story in the book tells of the loss of her brother to suicide when she was just 16 years old.  After hearing from him through Psychic medium Ricky Wood, her life was transformed. Ricky Wood referred to a nickname of her brother’s that she had never told a soul about, allowing her to know definitively that he was still ‘alive.’

“I spent so many holiday seasons sad and depressed because I missed my brother so desperately.  If I’d only known that he wasn’t just gone, I think it may have been a whole lot easier for me,” A.P. Morris, author, said.

Each story offers a different type of love, loss, and lesson. Whether you’ve lost a child, spouse, parent, or great friend, there is a relationship that everyone can relate with.  Following each story, there is a question and answer section where the reader gets to learn more about Ricky’s beliefs based on his years of experience working as a Psychic Medium.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to share some amazing true life stories.  The information contained in this book could change so many people’s lives.  I know – it changed mine,” Morris said.amy bw

A.P. Morris feels that it was easier for her to believe in the continued existence of our spirits after she received ‘proof.’  Her hope is that by sharing these stories it will bring peace to many people’s lives, especially during this holiday season.

On December 2, 2009 you can purchase a copy of the book “They’re Not Gone,” for just $16.95 by visiting www.Amazon.com or www.theyrenotgone.com .

Will the Senate consider a Public Health Option?

tn_supe-vs-captmarvelThis is where the rubber meets the road. After months of delay, the full Senate is about to debate and vote on landmark health care legislation. But first, Senator Harry Reid and Democratic leaders have a big decision to make:

Will the Senate consider real health care reform with a public health insurance option, or a watered-down compromise full of giveaways to Big Insurance?

This is a hugely important decision. Progressive champions in Congress are standing strong for the public option and Sen. Reid himself has expressed support—but he’s under immense pressure from a few conservative obstructionists who oppose it.

We need to send a loud signal: If Sen. Reid leads on the public option, we’ll be there to get his back. Can you sign our petition asking him to include a strong public health insurance option in the Senate’s bill?

Clicking here will add your name:

http://pol.moveon.org/harryreid/o.pl?id=17554-11381997-ilUAiGx&t=3

The petition reads: “Senator Reid, real health care reform must include a strong public health insurance option. Please include the public option in the bill you bring to the Senate floor.”

The headlines today are about a flawed bill without a public option that a few conservative Democrats managed to push through the Senate Finance Committee.

But the overwhelming majority of Democrats in Congress continue to support the public option—as does President Obama, and two-thirds of the American public.1 And just last week 30 Democratic senators wrote to Sen. Reid urging him to include the public option.2

nvreidReid has been supportive: earlier this month, he said “I believe the public option is so vitally important to create a level playing field and prevent the insurance companies from taking advantage of us.”3

In other words, we’re closer than ever to winning real health care reform. But we’ve got to raise our voices now to make sure the public option gets through the Senate.

“Training with Corey” brings Fitness Boot Camp to Pottstown!

unclesa2When it came to fitness, I used to think that a good reason was all that was needed to get started. My first reason was that I was overweight. I immediately allowed myself ONLY strawberry Pop-Tarts  (I was sure that blueberry was the real culprit). Another reason was that my clothes were too tight. However, I thought this was due to my better half  washing my clothes in hot water. When I regained consciousness at the bottom of the stairs, she assured me that this wasn’t the case and further laundry would be done by yours truly.

Reasons weren’t going to be enough.

I needed to be motivated.

I met personal trainer Corey Dissin thru Dr. Andy Fetterman a few months ago. (Dr. Fetterman reasoned that scrapple and any flavored Pop-Tart  could be contributing to my lethargy and expanding waistline). Introducing me to Mr.Dissin  I made the comment, “do you like being a personal trainer?” His response was eloquent and to the point. “I look at myself as a fitness motivator“.  “That’s just crazy talk” , I stammered. He invited me to find out what a fitness motivator does. I’m so glad I did.

Corey has helped me find my intensity. My sessions are always a new experience. The variety of exercises keep me from getting stuck in a rut and I feel the results. By the way if I failed to mention,  I am a type 1 diabetic with hypertension. “Train with Corey” has helped  those conditions as well. I’ve also decided to attend Corey’s “Fitness Boot Camp” on Saturdays starting October 3rd…..

Power_Girl_002- a fun, rapid-fire style workout with tons of super-sets, circuits, and little down time.

- a variety of calisthenics, dynamic stretching, push-ups, sit-ups, sprints, plyometrics, cardio/aerobics, etc.

- 60 minutes of POSITIVE MOTIVIATIONno drill instructor style screaming tactics.

- this is for all experience levels, from “I never exercise” all the way to “I’m a gym rat.”

- it’s a great opportunity to workout with your family or friends that you may not be able to do in the confines of a normal gym setting.

- It’s AFFORDABLE. Session packages are as low as under $13 per session.

I’m looking forward to this. Believe or not it’ll be fun!bottom.letterhead

I will also post my progress with “Train with Corey” as the weeks go by….it may not be pretty but it’ll help me stay focused.

Online Health Care Vigil Tonight!!

The health care debate is the biggest political story of the year.

But what the media and Congress seem to forget is that it’s not just about politics or policy minutiae. It’s about real people who are really suffering under our broken health care system—and can’t afford to wait any longer for real reform.

That’s why, today, MoveOn members are holding health care vigils across the country—including a virtual vigil online for those who can’t make it to an event. These are shaping up to be our biggest and most powerful events of the year.

Click here to look for a vigil near you tonight:

http://www.moveon.org/r?r=51821&id=17115-11381997-bXYhErx&t=5obamadccomics1

And all day today, we’re holding an online virtual vigil where you can read about other MoveOn members who can’t afford to wait, see their faces, and even hear their stories. Plus, you can add a candle to the online vigil for yourself or someone else you know.

Many of those who need health reform the most can’t make it out of the house to attend vigils in their communities. This virtual vigil is a place for everyone to meet up and share stories about why health care reform is so important.

Check out the virtual vigil by clicking here:

Hope you can join us at one or both events, and thanks again for all you do.

Pledge to Higher Quality, Lower Cost Health Care…Now!

1287777170_ceef0d8d58_oAmericans spend more on health care than people do elsewhere, but somehow we spend more for less.

Most of us have no clue about the actual cost of our medical care until the bills arrive, because hospitals and doctors don’t publish their charges. The cost of insurance goes up and up, with fewer services covered. Millions of Americans needlessly suffer or die from preventable medical errors and infections.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Costs can come down and quality can improve if we stop letting the insurance companies run the show, make billing clear and simple, and focus on prevention and managing chronic illness better.

You can make a difference by taking our pledge and joining our effort to make health care a top priority for our nation’s leaders.

THE PLEDGE:
I want to join with other Americans to support action, answers and accountability. It is time to:

* * Give my family security that we will have quality care when we need it at a cost we can afford;
* * Make hospitals and doctors more transparent about the cost and quality of care they offer;225px-Unclesam_comics
* * Eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy between patients and the care they need;
* * End long waits for care;
* * Examine all solutions that will ensure all Americans access to quality, affordable care, with input from real people like me.

Is Congress Afraid to Pass a Credit Card Bill?

Five long days and I’m tired of workingwindowslivewriterhellokittychargecard-d4cchello-kitty-credit-card4
I’m going to see my boss today
In fifteen minutes I’ll be on the train
‘Cause I just got my pay

Now I could take and sock away my dough
And make me six percent a year
But it’s not much fun to wait around for that
When I can spend it while it’s here

“I Just Got my Pay”- The Beach Boys

Have you ever looked at your credit card statement and realized your interest rate was twice what it was the month before? Or wondered why you’re getting charged a late fee when you paid your bill on time?

Credit card companies are notorious for back-handed maneuvers like these. And they’ve been doing this for so long, it almost feels hopeless to protest.

But now, the Senate is considering a strong bill to outlaw some of their most egregious abuses.

But the bill isn’t moving, and too many senators are scared to take truly bold action against the banks. If enough of us speak out together quickly, we can make sure Congress knows we expect them to protect voters, not banks. Can you add your name now so they get the message? Clicking below adds your name:

http://pol.moveon.org/creditcards/?id=16136-11381997-UFwiXPx&t=3

The petition says: “We need a strong Credit Cardholders’ Bill of Rights that isn’t watered down by the big banks—and we need it now.”

To get our economy back on track, we need a functioning financial system that extends credit on fair terms to worthy borrowers like small businesses, students, and car buyers.

But as long as the banks are the ones writing the rules, we’ll continue to have a system that’s good for them and bad for everyone else. Since the early 1980s, the government has gotten rid of more and more regulations at the banks’ urging. Entire industries have sprung up built on misleading people and taking advantage of them.

Now that we’ve seen the disastrous consequences of that deregulation, we have to act.

The House bill passed by a big margin, but the Senate bill, sponsored by Senator Chris Dodd, is significantly tougher on the banks. If we don’t pass strong reform now—in this moment of anger at the industry’s wild abuses—we may not get the chance again. That’s why we need to speak out right away to make sure the banks can’t block or water down these necessary reforms.
